Globalization, innovation and technical progress have had a significant impact on people and communities, even the most remote ones. Academic institutions, students and political and social actors are facing several challenges for which they were not prepared. The precariousness of young graduates, youth unemployment, the disappearance of certain professions, the constant presence of digital technology, the shortage of skilled labor in several areas of the economy, globalization, etc. are elements that force academic institutions and nations to innovate in education, teaching and training.
The objective of a professionalization program is to prepare individuals for specific roles or functions within a particular industry or profession. This involves developing technical skills, improving problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills, learning about trends and best practices in the workplace, and having the opportunity to interact with leaders and mentors from the professional world.
These professionalization programs aim to help individuals improve their professional prospects, advance in their careers and increase their knowledge and overall expertise in their field.
The student professionalization program “SPECS” developed by ECLEE, is an innovative educational path designed to help learners acquire the knowledge, skills and know-how necessary to succeed in a specific profession or industry. This program integrates both theoretical and practical requirements. It was developed in partnership and in collaboration with professional associations, public institutions (such as the European Commission for example), industrial organizations or even universities. They include a range of training activities such as workshops, seminars, courses and professional certification programs.
Innovation and new technologies contribute significantly to the shortening of the lifespan of skills and competences. However, one must distinguish skills that are impacted by technology from what are known and commonly accepted as soft skills or lasting skills that a person will retain throughout their career. Sustainable, non-technical skills include important professional abilities (leadership, critical thinking, communication, etc.) and personal qualities (creativity, mindfulness, courage, etc.).
The European Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurship Education and Jagora University have joined forces with their European, American and African partners to increase the employability potential of young people within the framework of the “SPECS” initiative, the aim of which is the professionalization learners on the one hand and to boost their employability on the other.
The ECLEE – Jagora University professionalization program, for young people and students, is an educational program designed to help them acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary to succeed in their studies and integrate more easily into the labor market (or practice a profession) regardless of the sector of activity. For this, this program focuses on the 8 employability skills using a problem-solving approach as a basis.
SPECS is a concept that is structured around two axes:
This SPECS concept aims to equip, empower and make students effective agents of societal change in economic, social, health and environmental terms in their context and in their sphere of influence.

The leadership program has been developed over many years of practice in the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, and is based on the Leadership Diamond® model or the Four Truths of Management developed by Professor Peter Koestenbaum. Scrum is an iterative, incremental, and agile method for managing complex projects.
It is the most popular Agile method. It is an adaptive, iterative, fast, flexible, and efficient methodology designed to deliver significant value quickly and throughout a project.
Scrum ensures transparency of communication and creates an environment of collective responsibility and continuous progress. A Scrum project involves a collaborative effort to create a new product, service, or other outcome as defined in the project vision statement. Projects are subject to time, cost, scope, quality, resource, organizational capacity, and other constraints that may be difficult to plan, execute, manage, and ultimately succeed.
However, the successful implementation of the results of a completed project offers significant commercial benefits to an organization. Therefore, it is important that organizations choose and apply an appropriate project management methodology.
One of the main strengths of Scrum lies in the use of cross-functional, self-organized, and empowered teams that divide their work into short and focused work cycles called Sprints. Scrum’s emphasis on value-focused delivery helps Scrum teams deliver results as early as possible in the project.
